I'm intrigued with that front bumper. I have given thought to doing a similar thing with my bumper.

I think you're right. But its registration plate sits higher than mine as well which leads me to believe that the purpose of this was to remove the restriction to FMIC air- ie: the bit removed .

If so, I would be interested to see what sort of difference it would make.

So what's my factory 97 Legnum with ~95k worth now (Private and Trade-In)?

has it got anything factory option wise on it? <$5K at a guess if it's a pretty averagely optioned car. If its a tip with nothing else think <=$3K

Not really, she just couldn't fit the new cooler in there without chopping the bumper. Though they also removed the crash bar and afaik it's not back in the car.

Look at my pics, I got my bumper to fit but it's blocking most of the FMIC

Mine is stock.

Is a Galant worth more than a Legnum? Someone got offered $6k for a 96 Galant with 110km - http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Cars/Mitsubishi/Galant/auction-187415862.htm

Also VR-4's got a mention on Trade Me's newsletter: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Community/ModsMotors.aspx

lets put it this way. I'd pay $6000ish for a legnum that is a manual and has a sunroof. Not too fussed by kms as long as its under 200k and looks well looked after.

Not a Legnum, but is manual with leather and sun roof. Has Ralliart suspension and underbody strut braces.

Does require a major service though (cambelt, spark plugs etc). I only know this cos its my old car. Still goes really good though and is all factory standard so its ready for custom work. Just want to see it go to someone who will appreciate it.
I traded it in for a 'family car' as I got the squeeze from the wife
