Ah OK Dave .... I'm sure you'll let us know when you've got it sorted. Did you miss two noughts off that £3 ......... you SHOULD make some $$$ out of this service if you go ahead and offer them - geez I bet it's a pain making them.

You can see that will make a difference, look how crappy the old one looks.

Any clues how much more power could be likely? they say the most amount of power gained from the exhaust is this bit right?

The old one is indeed crap, it has a 180 degree path for the back turbo! I am sure it is there to equal up the pressure between the front and back pipes by making the difference in lengths before the join smaller, but I am not sure that on a turbo car this is so critical.

What I really need now is a couple of days when I dont need the car so I can get the old downpipe off and sort out a route for the new tubing. Good job Easter is just a week away!!! ;)

Not sure about power gains.......I am assuming it will make a difference, but more importantly being stainless steel it wont rot to buggery! I think a replacement from our good friends Mitsubishi is about £300!

I am not willing to put a cost on it at this point, however if you would like to give me an idea of what you think is sensible we can take it from there! I know how much the parts have cost me so far! :-b

As for production, well I am hoping to get mine on next weekend (Easter) and then I should be able to start knocking them out in 3-4 weeks time if enough people are interested. I have sold about 20 de cat pipes and would like to think I could sell a similar number of these downpipes. I am sure you can appreciate though there is a lot of up front cost!

A shame you are in the UK... looked into this but was going to cost way too much to get it down through an exhaust place.
