Hi!

I'm considering buying a pre-facelift Legnum VR4 tiptronic.

Are there any good specialists in or around Edinburgh?

How much servicing can be safely trusted to a non-specialist?

Are Japanese turbo-nutter estate cars the way forward? :inquisiti

theres a place called "The Garage" in motherwell thats supposed to be good with jap motors. Axeboy had a lot of his work on his last leggie done there. a bit out your way, but could be worth it for quality work?

if you can do basic servicing yourself, do so - with amsoil, then use a specialist or dealer for AYC service etc. EVO specialists can do AYC's as well.

Hello!

In the same order:

Splendid!
No idea.
I'd be cautious, the AYC can be tricky.
Absolutely!

There are articles in the members section detailing how to look after the car. If you fancy DIY and are mildly mechanical, the servicing is perfectly do-able.

Not going to get to see the (potential) car until Monday. :anxious:

...so I've joined up and will know much more when I do see it.

Not read anything to put me off yet... :book:

It's a blue one in Edinburgh, Irish ageless plate YIL 6066.

I only managed to get hold of the seller after the AutoTrader ad had expired...

Not planning to do the deal on Monday, just check that it's worth pursuing.

I'm actually only going to be 1/3 owner so the other two syndicate members will be along too which is probably mob-handed enough... :d

It would be great to have a member along pre-purchase though.
