OK here is the explanation................

The first test gets your maths brain working, firing really quickly doing simple addition. It then asks you to pick a number between 12 and 5. Immediately your brain subtracts 5 from 12 and gives you 7, you cant do anything about it!

The second test distracts your brain by giving it simple tasks to do, this pretty much overloads it and makes you forget about everything else. It then pops in a curveball and asks you to think of a vegetable......ooooh carrot! Why? Well it is probably the most common vegetable! Even without the mind distraction you would probably pick carrot (unless you are wierd like Dan!)

Test 3 works on the same principle, choose a colour and a tool.............most people will say red and drill as these are the most common items!

Its all very simple really!

Same principle, distract the mind and get it in to a repetetive loop, then BAM!
