The Dimension limits for this filetype are 1024 x 1400. We were unable to resize your file so you will need to do so manually and upload it again. Your file is currently 1280 x 960.

Thats wrong.

Its back to front. My file is in the correct dimension, your numbers are backward!

Its a pain to resize pics!

The site is setup for 1024 wide and 1400 tall. It is done that way so that you don't end up scrolling all over the place on a smaller monitor.

Your picture is 1280 wide, so it doesn't like it!

No kidding sherlock.
But you are Wrong m8.
The site creates a thumb of your pic, So it makes no differance what size it is at the end of the day. Because the thumb is what is showen, not the full size picture, that is why you click on it to see it in full size :p

My camera is set up to that size for higher definition picture.
I could rotate all my camera pic's 90deg to get around it.

The size makes no sence in the first place 1024*1400 - True CORRECT size should be 1024*1360 or 1024*1440, or 1024*768. 1400 is just some random number someone picked.

I believe Brad is right that it is set up that way to save scrolling up and down the screen. I would suggest resizing the picture, I have to do this for all pictures that I upload.

No offense dude, but that does not make sence. Thats hows it meant to be.

So instead of fixing it I get flogged off?

Thumb size = 400px × 300px

If it automatically makes everything a thumb, then you are right, there is no reason not to make the max image size 1280 or even 1600 wide.

Fully - I have changed the maximum allowed file size to 1024x1440 for the following file extensions: bmp, gif, jpe, jpeg and jpg.

I realise what you mean about the thumbnail being smaller ... but the full file is still stored on our server so we do need to have some sensible limits. Hopefully, this new setting makes more sense anyway.
