basically I've got a set of aero catch plus flush hood pins i need to fit,

and id like to see where people have there pins connected through on the body,
and where they come up through the bonnet.

anyone got any pictures they could share
(aero catch or any other type is fine just need an idea where the best place to fit is)

oh and anyone got any tips about doing this and how to go about it??!

sup man, pins, ugly lol,,,, um personally fit them above the headlight, but keep close to eachother as possible basically just where the rise meets the lower bonnet area, youll need to cut the pins shorter tho so you dont damag your headlites tho, honestly whay wud you want pins man?? please dont, lol,i hate them ,theyr unsafe too,if your in a parking lot etc...

there not normal hood pins,

http://www.aerocatch.com/

and i want them for safety, i dont trust the latch thats moulded into the FG bonnet enough for high speed use (drags/racing)

ill still be using the stock latch aswell thou to no safety issues in car parks

I know orionn20 has hood pins fitted and he said he just went crazy with a dremel on the bonnet! I guess thats the only way cos you need to cut a hole in the bonnet anyway.

With regards to fitting.

I had a template (similar to the one supplied by aerocatch) made out of aluminium. (see below)

We then positioned the catch using the side of the template parallel to the line of the bulge on the bonnet. and roughly in line with the front mentalwork of the subframe.

The we cut 2 holes on opposite corners of the template and then bolted the template to the bonnet. and from there we cut the other 4 holes. Then we got the dremel out and sheepishly cut the big hole!

Depending upon the bonnet you'll find you need to cut bigger holes on the underside to get the nuts in. As i said i'll get some more pics and most of this will make more sense!
