Sweet where did you find those photos? Is it just a standard VR-4 under the bonet?

I´ve found these pics at our german Mitsubishi Power Borad.

I don´t know if it´s a standard VR4 engine, but a "standard" VR4 engine is powerfull enought, isn´t it? :D

"Standard issue is insufficient !!"

Short, sweet, and to the point :p

That's a bit like the Lotus Espirit highway pursuit car I remember seeing on telly years back; A specially prepared vehicle on trial in the US :wow:

I've seen a Dodge Viper as well as Lambo in the States, obviously not daily patrol cars but they were fully fitted out with all the kit. :-b

Have you noticed the big plastic things fitted to both their bonnets ? Wonder what they're for ?

It is a wind deflector to allow them to still be able to drive if the windscreen gets shot out by some bad guys whilst they are chasing them. :rolleyes5

I have actually seen a Galant cop car here in Oman. I would get a photo but they are a bit twitchy about taking pictures of government stuff (I don't want to get shot...even for CVR4 :undecided )

In fact, I have never seen so many galants in my life. Every other car is a Galant out here. And there are loads of tricked out (erm, if thats the phrase) motors. Me and a few of my mates nearly pi$$ed ourselves laughing when a Toyota Yaris (or their equivalent) went by with bright chrome alloys with spinning bits on the outside that kept on going when the car stopped. I have never seen them before but they looked cr4p!! :rolleyes5

Thats a new trend down here, have seen a couple of Foresters with those.. some even cover the entire wheel and spin.

Looks damn wierd when the car is parked.
