I have a 12 inch diameter subwoofer type speaker flush mounted on the right hand side (driver's) in the boot of my Legnum. It is quite near the panel where you access the AYC. Would this be a stock standard item? Was just wondering, because some members have queried it in the past. It looks very OEM in black though, so I reckon it has to be.

The sound system in the car is the factory double din tape and radio (have an FM band expander on the radio), with a 10 CD changer also in the boot on the opposite side to the sub speaker.

Is it only the NZ ones that have subs? Never seen one in the UK.

It is an option available on the cars when new. Very rare though.

The saloons have a space for an sub on the rear parcel shelf, in the middle. No idea where they were available as an option - in NZ perhaps (?) but certainly not in the UK. Would have loved to have that fitted in mine.

There neesa to be a bit of modding to fit one in there... Also you need to find a decent "free air" sub too...

I guess the sub option from Mitsubishi would sort outthe correct sub and fitting. Certainly something I wasn't going to tackle with an aftermarket sub!

The UK VR4 brochure lists the audio set up as "see separate brochure" - I wonder if a sub in either the saloon or estate would have been included in the audio list? :inquisiti
