View Full Version : CVR4 Gallery - nothing much for 2008 and 2009?

I was just wondering, I've noticed that there's been hardly any new photos added to the 2008 section of the CVR4 gallery? Are the photos being put up somewhere else? Or has there just not been many meets lately etc.?

There have been plenty of meets, but the people who used to take the photos and put them in the gallery are unfortunately no longer around/responsible.

It is a shame really!

Out of interest who was that Nick? Is there a postion that needs filling or is there a part of the forum we need more input from CVR4 meet attendees?

thats what i was thinking, after every event if everyone can post their pics then the best get hoisted up onto the official CVR4 pics for that year?

Jane of HJM fame used to add piccies, as did Barry. They both did very good jobs keeping the gallery stocked.

IIRC it is a pain to get pictures in there, especially a few at a time. I have to be honest and say I've only added photos once, and it was a long time ago!

If someone wants to volunteer to get pictures together and organise them, the whole club would be grateful!

i went to a few shows and just put the pics under the "meets" thread ! was that wrong :thinking:

Most people have been doing that of late Ian. But it usually ends up with pics all over various threads! I'd like to see them under the gallery properly. Let's do a good job in 2009!

I think that would require someone to put photos in the gallery. As far as I know only moderators can do that.

Ah, ok.

Maybe each event should have its own picture thread set up. Then the pics can be moved into the gallery shortly afterwards.

That could be a goer. Someone would still need to have a bash at getting them in though.

Lets have a bash using the Eurospec day and see how we get on! :D

I got tons of pictures last year after getting the new little digtal camara.

Tell me were you wantthem and ill stick em there.

The new DSLR is in the pipe line for this year so that will get a trashing.

Could email them to me - or burn them onto a CD/DVD and send them in the post?

I've been trawling through the UK Meets and NZ Meets threads and came across photos in many of those threads. Perhaps someone could organise and add these to the main events gallery!
Seriously, you guys over in UK and NZ have trully awesome and tasteful looking cars :D

Back in 2005, way before i owned a VR-4, i used to lurk and watch the Gallery. Many of those photos were what made me fall in love with the Galant and Legnum!

Yes I would like to add some pics to the Club gallery.
But its all being turned off, shame really.

I also have them in Hi-res (117 photos - 429MB) so if you want to put the in gallery, I am more than happy to put them on the CD and post to one of you guys.

Ill try and get some sorted out when I get lap top up and running this weekend. It should be abit quicker.

Iam hopeing there will be alot of interest in phoos this year to get some enters foward for the calendar at the end of the year.
