Just wanted to say hi, I currently have a 1998 Facelift Manual Mitsi FTO GPX and i'm hoping to move up to a VR-4 legnum very shortly.

Should be putting the FTO up for sale very shortly :-( unless someone fancies a part-ex...

I'll put some specs up later.

Not necessarily, but in my opinion you need to treat KTC as if you were buying from a private seller.

From comments in the past, KTC cars have apparently been a right mixed bag - some sheds, but some pearlers too. :)

Hi Guys,

Yeah I know all about KTC from the FTO forums, I've been once to have a laugh at what they've got.

Don't know of a Jap Car Forum that doesn't mention how poor KTC is.

Seeing is definately believing.

I think I'll be buying private anyway, only benefit of Trade would be Part-Ex, but I don't think i'll get the price i'm looking for.

I know of a forum members x-car in Warrington, I went to look at it but all they'd offer me was £1250 for it, which is about £1k less that what i'm looking for due to the upgrades and parts on the FTO, the wheels and brakes cost me more than that alone.

On that note, does anyone run AP's on their VR-4's? if so what's your opinion on them?

Cheers
James

Think Nutter_John had APs on his saloon? Maybe he'll post up later with his thoughts.

The AP's are great but a common upgrade is brembo's because they bolt straight onto facelifts.

Pics of the FTO please!

Best of luck selling the fto, its a facelift so dont let anyone nai you on the price, they are worth a bit more , especially if its a manual.

Cheers,

BEn.

Hi Ben,
Certainly is a Manual, GPX too. V.Rare, there's only about 5 black genuine facelifts in the country.

Yeah, the markets considerably dropped, so I've got a good price for it.
I've got AP's on it, just rying to find if they'll swap over.

Hello and welcome to the club. I am from North Yorkshire but i used to have and FTO and was part of the FTOOC for about 2 years. Like you i had a manual GPX but it was a pre-facelift, they are good cars and i wish u luck in selling it. I tell u though u will not be disappointed making the jump from FTO to LegnumVR4 provided u can live with the fuel economy.

Yorkshire what....?

I could never consider putting those two together when thinking of our County...

Arrogant, aloof, gifted, plain-speaking maybe...

That word does come to mind when thinking of them folk from over the Pennines...
