hi its come the time for me to say goodbye to my much loved legnum as me and my partner are starting to save a deposit for our first house so need to save some money on insurance and petrol!

its a P reg legnum vr4 (1997)
done a total of 80K approx although the first 44046 was done in km's so its done about 60K in miles.
only 3 previous uk owners

has sony tape/radio upfront and 10 disk changer in boot.
cat 1 cobra alarm with 3 keys two remotes and certificate of installation

i have original recipt for vehicle order from colt car company via mitzi main dealer they paid £10k in feb 2003 although vehicle was imported june 01.

various recepts for servicing and mot's done by previous owner

i bought it in april 07

i have since done

54k svc inc cambelt (i was a mitzi tech for 5 years)

retrofit larger battery as the crap import batter was really useless

bought the race wheels you see in the pics

replaced front disks and pads

replaced rear pads

replaced rear exhaust with camskill blue flame exhaust (cat back)

Decat pipe (still keep the old cat in boot for mot)

electronic boost controller which you can switch on and off then adjust all from in the car

electronic boost controller

all abs/asc components replaced by brigton Mitzi as part of a recall

replaced all tyres

replaced windscreen as stone chip caused crack

Fitted a custom one off air cleaner box housing a mushroom type filter

retrofit 55w HID headlight kit dipped beam only.

ive serviced it myself 4 - 5 times in the 18k ive owned it.

i will be honest and list all the things i know about which are:

1. lash adjusters noisey when first started and really hot (ok between)
2. body does have a few door dents and dent to osf bumper and nsr door
3. paint coming off wheels in areas
4. wheels rub if you have 5 people and a half full boot (only slight on rear)
5. false floor lid has the carpet coming off in one area (trying to find some carpet to retrim it!)

6. worst of all it has a traction control problem that slows the nsf wheel at slow speeds in damp/wet weather (ive yet to fix although i havent spent any time on it yet)

i think thats it will update if i think of anything else

so there you go im trying to be as fair as possible as ive seen many people get a car with lots of hidden problems that they didnt know about so hopefully you know everything about this car!

open to sensible offers or part ex for golf GT TDI 150ps version but more than anything im just feeling the market at the mo

Looks nice, and honest - good stuff! :)

For potential buyers, do you have a price in mind (not mentioned!)?

And I just removed an extra 'was imported' that was in the wrong place just after £10k...

Link dead, have you removed it from sale ?

mitzitech2007
25-02-2009, 02:35 AM
no ebay removed it as i said will accept offer or something like that! will re list if no interest in the next few days. i have also bought my next car and i am getting desperate for the space now.

also the tax runs out this month and i cannot afford to retax it now so will reduce the sale price to compensate!

O/T
There are also two double sided hooks on both sides of the boot just under the rear windows. You can hang the net on these too, to create a 'pocket' to dump things in that dont want to be squashed down. Very useful to carry stuff like flowers ;) and other fragile things that need to be transported 'This Way Up'.
