More like a trilling, not tapping

When
@ 1000rpm- = no trilling
@ 2000rpm = trilling
@ 3000rpm+ = no trilling

It returns again when rpm drops to around 2,000rpm

@ 2,000 It sounds like this

t,t,t,t,t,t,t,t,t,t,t,t,t then a click when a little pressure is applied to the accelerator then normal engine noise. It seems to be when I am at enough throttle to generate about 2,000rpm. because above and below that I am fine.

But not all the time.

Why I am not sure is because, the lash adjuster problem seems noticeable @ idle as well, whereas my does not. Also mine is more of a very fast t,t,t,t,t,t, rather then slower tap,tap,tap,tap,tap,tap,

Could that not just be the noise from the injectors Richard ?

I get something like this sometimes - it sounds like a compressor, pressurising or something, then if you change your throttle position it stops - never really thought mush about it.

Could it be the brake servo, or ABS unit pressurising?I'm not worried about it - just be nice to know what it is I suppose... :-D

It is a new noise, hence the question. I don't think it is serious, becuae it could be just a pressure valve or something. But it does stop with a click when I take the throttle off.
