I'd recommend a fitting loom.
It's not rocket science to install a timer without one, but mine took all of 5 mins with the special loom and it's easily removeable in the future. For the sake of $15 it wasn't worth getting my snips and crimping tool out of the toolbox!
Any Apexi dealer should be able to supply one for you.
If it's any help, I had a little difficulty identifying the exact loom I needed, but eventually tied it down to 'if I was fiiting a HKS timer I'd need a MT-6 wiring kit' - this enabled my supplier to determine the correct kit for the Blitz timer - the same as a 'US '95 Mitsubishi Eclipse' apparently. It fitted perfectly. ;)

Just checked and the harness I need is definitely for the same vehicle that
a HKS 'MT-6' loom is used.
See attached table of HKS products (my car highlighted in RED) , I couldn't
find Blitz wiring harnesses detailed this finely on the web.....
