Just curious atm, considering shared engine n all, would a GTO/3000gt manual gearbox bolt onto a leggy ?

GTO box's are pretty easy to find compared to leggys

They run backwards, ie you'll get 5/6 reverse speeds

Yeah- its the 'other' way round.

I dont think it bolts up either.

and they dont share the same engine, they use the 6G72 we use the 6A13

Yeah- its the 'other' way round.

I dont think it bolts up either.

they are the other way around,


Also they didnt do a 6A12 VR4, some countries got the 6A12 with the mivec heads, but these bolt up the same way as the normal Galant, gearbox on pass side if rhd same as FTO, as they utilise the same engine.
The other VR4 was the 4G63
No that was sixth gen, did the uk get the 6a12 TT in the 7th gen galants?

Yeah seen a few round Auckland Etc, Mate had 1 and attempted to Shoe horn a Gto motor in it, He gave up and sold it Lol

Yep. One of the guys in Trinidad managed to get a 6G72TT and 6 speed manual gearbox into a 7G VR-4

ive seen a 6a12tt in a mirage so i suppose anything is possible...

what suprised me most was seeing a 1uzfe with a td08 in a lancer ex :S
