Why settle for only 500BHP!!!! Do a search for Project VX as I am sure you will see something you like!

500 should be fairly easily acheivable, it may well be costly though! As a starter you are looking at the following:

Bigger turbos
Forged internals
Uprated injectors
Standalone ECU or Piggyback
Induction and Exhaust
Intercooler

This could well set you back $10000 NZ

Also I wouldn't recommend this unless you have a manual, I think the Auto would be well past its best at 500BHP!

Unless you updated the tiptronic box at the same time.

theoretically the interals can with stand 450ponies but it all comes down to how you drive the car and your maintannce of the engine. Personally when it does come time to mod my Legnum all I will be doing is the basics, exhause, cold air box, throttle body, possibly ecu piggyback and fittle the waiste gate actuators, When my warranty runs out anyway

I won't do anything major on mine either. Warranty or no Warranty. I am looking for longevity (10+ years ) at minimal cost.

Approx 300 hp is sufficient for me. Remember guys even at this level we have more HP/tonne then older 185/215kw HSVs :D. Plus we have 4 wheel drive for better road-holding.

Yeah, waiting to see if the auto salon will have any good discounts for mods I have planned. BTW is anyone going?

The GTO is kinda a different engine all together, even points in opposite direction. I've asked before on NZMMC and they answer is just don't even try.
Too big, different mounts, better ways to spend money.

Personally i'd love to have a 3litre vr4 ;)

Cheers,
Matt
