Nice, I was looking at that when I was trying to find an EBC for my car. I went against it as it was a cumbersome shape. Couldnt work out where it would fit suitably. But the info I read on it sounded good.

Mike
/yes It's an awkward shape is what I meant. Difficult to mount it anywhere and not look out of place. Cable coming out of the side difficult to hide. I went for the E-01 mounted in the visor :p

Hopefully pick up mine tomorrow :p
And I know the feeling having the goodies just sitting there waiting to be fitted! Not nice cos it's sat there screaming at you and you cant do anything about it!

Yeah, see if you can find one. You got the solenoid and everything though, right?

miller
17-04-2009, 01:32 PM
Yup all correct and present, solenoid, control box and user interface module! though the wiring has been chopped to remove it from its existing car its not too bad, ive got a soldering iron and plenty of tape!!!

anyways, here are what looks like the best instructions
http://www.team3s.com/Blitz%20SBC%20i-D%20manual.pdf

Ill do a print out anyways

Mike

edit, looks like i will need to get some spare vacuum hose, also will i need a replacement pipe where the MBC is now once thats removed?

Kieran
17-04-2009, 02:57 PM
Errr, not sure - Get a decent length of Vac hose just incase, i'm not sure if I've got any spare knocking about here.

miller
17-04-2009, 04:05 PM
damn, i had some and give it away, cant for the life of me remember why or where....

will get a couple of metres of vac hose, i presume the one size will fit all? what is it 8mm or summat?

Mike

Kieran

It's smaller than 8mm diameter, about 4mm I think.

Does anyone else have this unit? The Blitz SBC DC (not the ID which is the older version)

Mine didnt come with instructions on how to play with it. Gowf has set it up so far but id like to learn its innards and how to change the settings to a broader spectrum.

I cant find any online links to it.

Mike,

Ill point this towards Wynn, as I think he as a manual for one or two that might be able to be made into an electronic copy for you...

Will let you know.

Hi Mike,

Wynn here. I have both an SBC ID and a BC unit, neither which has made it into a car yet...........:anxious: :rolleyes4

Sorry to say, but I'm not going to be much help I'm afraid, as I have no paper copy of the instructions for either. And I see you have got the same .PDF English version of the ID's instructions I have.

A couple of things to note though.............:idea2:

Comparing the two, the control boxes are identical save for a couple of minor things............... colour and the ID having writing on it to that effect. Otherwise the boxes are exactly the same size and their wiring connections are identical.

The user interface modules are very similar too but the BC having the infrared port blanked off............./JawDroppi

Secondly, several threads I've found in the past, referred to them operating in the same way and the BC only missing a couple of features.............. like boost pressure units not being interchangeable between PSI, kg/m and Bar which the ID can do.

The best, bet I would say, is to start with the ID's operating instructions and see how they go.

Sorry, that's the best I can offer...........:anxious:

Do report back to let us know how you get on or if you do find a set of instructions............./yes :seeking:

Good luck.

Cheers Wynn, i have a print out of the ID's instructions, from memory though the start up and setup was a bit different, took a while to find the setup menu let alone start adjusting boost!

I would have expected the principles and methodology of operation would be the same, even if the layout of the functions and the menuing was different.

Takers? Are you offering to fit it into someone else's car? :D

Just a bump to see if any of CVR4 newcomers per chance have one of these plus the instructions.

There are slight differences between the BC and IC. I need to access this soon to change settings so am prompting the 'where is your handbook' question!

Mike it appears from a number of forums that there are no English instructions for this unit !!

So you're gonna have to play !!

It can't be that hard to use surely?
