what diametre is the pipe, im guessing 2.5" but just to be sure?

The box says 2.5" but I can check when it is light - in the morning - heading to my shed for a bevvie...will get back..

There's potentially another difference as well. At the 1st facelift the V6 was fitted with more emissions gear and I believe the cat was lengthened at that point. Certainly the cat on my 2000 V6 Sport was about 1.5" longer than the standard VR4 item.
