I found theese yesterday and am seriously considering slapping them on the mitsi. Carbon Fiber Pillars. well covers for the pillars. They are genuine carbon fiber, not cheap vinal. What do ye think? Classy or tacky?

They come from america so do the Usdm galant and the Uk modle have the same window construction? I would nearly buy them anyway as they are only 60 pounds posted.

If its white silver or red then i think they will look cool. not sure on green and blue.

I like the concept purely to cover up all of the nasty black paint that discolours but because it won't cover the top part of the door frame as well, I'm going to stick with a new coat of paint :)

when it fades it will turn a nasty green and youll want to remove it only to find youll haveto now respray the pillars due to damage from the adhesive you used

Seen these used on a dark metallic blue Clio. Frankly, they looked really sweet: I was totally surprised. Fortunately, they were an extremely good fit to natural shapes in the bodywork, and so looked very factory, especially with a carbonfibre front splitter and a few other bits.

well, im put off it now!! na, as i noticed what brad said earlier, it would lookk unfinished as it woudnt cover the whole door pillar. Plus a can of trade spray is only a fiver.

It's your choice, God knows I like things that others would hate(neons, other rice, etc) and no one would put me off doing it if I like it.

I know this thread is a little 'old' but I attacked mine with some polishing compound a couple of days ago and gave them a rub (by hand, not machine!).

I was suprised that they came out so shiny without the need for fresh paint!

I use Mothers Naturally Black on mine and they come up very very sexy like.

edit: im unsure about using mothers and sexy in the same sentence

Sightless - They do say that once you go black you never go back!
