Hey! Leave the Honda alone! :-D

I used to have an Accord 2.0i LS Coupe.... Loved it, but a tad thirsty for it's performance!

To be honest, the general feeling on here seems to be that there's not a great deal of difference between the two. Don't worry!

Was very happy with my perfomance, used go like a rabbid dog :-D :-D Bu%*ar the fuel cost, guess thats the reason for the Legnum, apart from the huge grin factor :-D :-D :-D

Well if thats the general concensus of opinion, I guess I can forget buying a post 97 ECU then,

get a uni-chip !! & a few other mods, ie; BDA's de-cat, sweet sounding exhaust, dump valve, etc !! I've upped mine from 260 BHP, to 333 BHP !!!! :cool1:

Hi Derek
Well the exhaust mods are already on the book for when it arrives, but 2 questions please, what and how much is a Unichip ? and if you remove the recirculating BOV, then where do you fit the NOISY :-D :-D :-D one ?

my unichip cost me £560, including re-mapping. sounds a lot I know, but the difference in performance is very noticable !! :cool1:
as for the dump valve, that is a must have !! It'll cost you around £200, but more than worth it. the location is under the front, nearside wheel arch. well......err.......... you cant actually see it unless you get under the car !! 'tiss between the arch, & the front spots.

Thanks for that Derek, methinks a tyre swap first from Japanese OEM maybe consider unichip later, but BOV Deffo.... :-D

Must admit, if one became available I would still consider getting a post '97 ECU - all down to price mind you ;)

Well Pete, I may have some info on them and any other parts that we may want, the people who are importing my Legnum can also get bits from there agent in Japan, at relativley cheap prices I am told, will post when I know more.

Thanks Sean, but we did go down this route once before and it did not work out to be worth if - but things may have changed so go for it - but I won't get my hopes up ;)

Surely the unichip would override the ecu anyway? If the engine is remapped, who cares what the original ecu is trying to do?

Please tell me if I am talking rubbish.
