I would like to see this club grow in size. However, a lot of people will say what's in it for them. For this reason, I have started to find places that may offer discounts for services and equipment for our cars.

I have managed to arrange a discount for a service for "Full Club Members" in New Zealand. Details are available in the members area. I will continue to find other discounts that may be available in order to make it more attractive.

Please consider membership of this club at only NZ$15.00 for NZ members. It is well worth it even for just the information in this forum and the specialist members only articles, library resources and manuals.

I would like to see get togethers. That would be great, maybe official ones where we go for cruise to an event.

There are plenty of good car events and this would also help to get more members involved.

Possibly somewhere where we can pay locally then that person can send the money across, I think that may help with the NZ scene alittle aswell.

Hi TT,

I'm interested in full membership, but would rather be able to give my money to a local person, as opposed making the effort of mailing a cheque off overseas.

Sorry, just really busy and it's just another thing to add to my list of things to do, away from a PC. :)

If it's just $15 bucks, then I don't see why not. If I can electronically transfer the money to an account, then that would be easy too.

Payments can be made by Paypal - let me know if you need more info as it's not currently set up on the "Shop" for NZ payments

Thank you for your feedback. My strategy which had I mentioned in the CVR4 Members Area is as follows;

"My short term goals is to establish more of a VR4 following in NZ, (we may even have more VR4s here then anywhere else) by having more full CVR4 members. Once we have a higher number of full members and attendence at mini-meets improves, we will have something to build on."

As to the points you have raised;

Membership Payments

Two methods are available.

1) 5 pounds note in an envelope to the UK.
2) 6 pounds via electronic "PayPal"

(Note: this is one third the cost of UK membership, and is very generous on the the part of the Club Leadership)

You should also complete this form here (http://www.clubvr4.co.uk/downloads/CLUB%20VR4%20MEMBERSHIP%20FORM.pdf) which has all the address, payment details and other membership details. See also the page at the at the bottom of my signature for additional benefits.

Regarding events.

Before organising more formal events I would like to see more regular attendance at "mini-meets", where future event planning can take place. Attempts have been made to organise event runs in the past and these have been disappointing to say the least.

Where members have shown their commitment by actually joining the Club formally and attending the "mini-meets", we can then establish a quorum similar to what exists in the UK. Previous "Mini-Meets" had attendance of 3, 8 and then 2 cars. As you can see this is not enough to form a quorom.

Any more details on paying via paypal would be great. Also would be good to see the membership form available to fill out online. Kinda saves the hassle for us PC reliant I.T. geeks.

Paypal payments can be made to the following account : pete@clubvr4.co.uk

With regards to the form, until it's available online just email me the information required and I can complete things my end - again to pete@clubvr4.co.uk (the same time as paypal payment would ne nice)

How many members from Nz are in Christchurch? There is me and and one other that I've seen on this forum. Any others?

Was I the other Christchurch member, LegnumVR4?. I've seen quite a few
VR-4s around Christchurch. Does yours have a Ralliart badge below the back
VR-4 badge, and 18" rims? I saw one like this around Church Corner about
lunch time Friday? last week. Didn't see any CVR4 stickers on the windows though. I was in my daughter's yellow Mini so couldn't catch it.
I'm thinking of printing up some cards with club logo on to try and attract some more members. Will obviously get them vetted here first. PM me for my details etc.

Mines silver (not factory silver) and has chrome roof rails (factory are black) with 17" wheels. I don't have any CVR4 stickers on the car yet, just a NZMMC sticker on the rear door up by the high stop light.

Should setup a meet in another thread when everyones up for it.
