The h1s are for the Full headlights but think you need h7s for the dips. do you have the ballasts already?

Ja thought that numbering was a bit weird. Sorry I've no idea what ballasts are? I presume it is something to make the bulbs fit properly?

Actually im wrong, i taught these were Hid replacement bulbs. I think they are just standard replacement bulbs that have a blue colour. If they were Hid Bulbs you would need a ballast(Like a step up transformer) to power each bulb.

If you want hids look for hid conversion kits on ebay, shoul cost no more than 60 pounds and easy to fit.

Just been reading some other threads on this matter and it seems that HID bulbs may cause a problem at WOF (MOT) time... /Hmmm

Era it depends on how strict they are. Irelands Nct is grand, its hard to get them focused correctly though. If all else fails........... Bribe them!!

Meh, been reading some more on this and HID bulbs don't work very well in conventional headlights. I would have to use a conversion kit.

Hey Ryan,

go on a HID conversion. It will work fine in the OE headlights.

I suggest: HID Kit with 6000k color temperature (blueish-white) an 35W (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/XENON-35W-H7-6000K-HID-CONVERSION-KIT-2-YEAR-WARRANTY_W0QQitemZ400048720801QQcmdZViewItemQQptZU K_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item40004872 0801&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1683%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C 240%3A1318%7C301%3A0%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50).

I have fitted one of these set for nearly 2 years now. No problems at all. Only thing to fit them properly is, that you have to manufacture a small adaptor ring to fit the gap between HID bulb and bulb clamp of the headlight. ;) Easy to do...

cheers mate /Wave

Those Mtec bulbs (from Top Town) are good bulbs, I use them for my reverse/ interior lights and the colour looks heaps better than the standard yellowish ones!
I have HID headlights but I know your only supposed to have them in cars that originally have HIDs. Something about the headlight design being different means the light pattern is different, so the HIDs may dazzle oncoming traffic. Bullcrap I say but depending on your WOF guy you might have trouble. I've always passed as long as they're dipped enough.
