Hi!

My mate in Poland recently suffers issue with 3rd gear synchro in his manual Leggy (1997). At the moment his grounded with f@#$ed up box.

Although 3rd gear synchro shouldn't be a problem due to stright swap with Evo gearbox, he also need sliding collar of a clutch. He reckon this part is only VR4 and due that he can't find any in Poland. Hence his ask for help here...

So here we go - anyone knows where you can find one in UK, or has used one.
Well, maybe other solutions? Very appreciated...:D

3rd gear is even the same ratio in most EVO 4-9's, so he should be fine to get the part from an EVO? Can you show me exactly what he is after, in ASA or CAPS?

Is the sliding collar of the clutch the release bearing?

If so, that is also the same as the Evo.

Thanks Brad!
That's what I was saying... 3rd gear - stright swap from Evo.

He's after part which I could translate as "sliding collar of a clutch" but I've no idea what it is. For sure, it can't be swaped with same part from any Evo's or other Mitsu gearbox as it's only VR4 design.
Hm... could it be bellhousing? Y'know, sometimes dictionnaries are b#$$%cks in terms of translation.

Well, gonna contact him and ask maybe for pictures of needed parts.

More news then...

That "clutch collar" thing sorted! Yes, it was release fork /pan .

Still in chase after 3rd gear synchro kit.
Can anyone give some links to online stores with Evo gearbox parts, please?
Found few in US, but prefer our in UK.
