The stock shocks are KYB, so I'm guessing the shocks would either be the same as stock or possible shortened versions.

As for the springs, do you know what the spring rate is and are they designed for the extra 50kg of arse in a Legnum or for a Galant?

Spring Rate = F/R
4.61/3.72

Volume Down = F/R
-24/-16

stock =3.6kg/mm (F), 2.5kg/mm (R)

I'd be keen for a set myself for a cruiser car or an ST-R

Buy a set of locally available shocks like monroe reflex / bilstein /koni + a set of lowering springs? Or try to find a used TEIN coilover set from a member or UK ebay or somethink like that.

The alternative depends on how low you wanna go...

I went for a D2 racing coilover set. Total cost were 550 EUR (express shipped from TW and including import fees). 36ways damper adjustment, ride height adjustable w/o changing spring preload and not to stiff, still comfortable.

Other possibility is to go for a set of Koni yellow shocks (adjustable in stiffness) and combine with reasonable lowering springs (e.g. RS-R springs or Tein springs).

Its not so much as in how low i want to go but i want to stiffen it up a bit down there! stop this happening \/\/

Ok, then go for very good shock absorbers, i.e. Koni yellow. You can regulate the stiffness from the top of the shock absorbers (for track days or whatever).

As Koni is not offering any shock absorbers for the Legnum directly, you have to get a set for the Eclipse 4WD from 1995-1999. ;)
part numbers are:
front shock absorber 8041-1207Sport
rear shock absorber 8041-1208Sport

(www.koni.com and then to the Koni finder)

I would suggest to test them with your OE springs. Maybe this is already enough for you. You can change the springs later on if you still wish to...
