Has anyone got any ideas where to get a reasonable quote for insurance on a VR-4? The only place I could think of was Adrian Flux.

Cheers

Try Admiral. I find that they are very competitive. My wife is only 26 years old and she is included in my policy. I also live in London. My premium is £900.00 per year.

Adrian Flux are the best I've found.
Just over £600 fully comp, all mods included INSERT INTO post VALUES (wheels, Exhaust, Induction so far) parked on a driveway, crashing into other cars wise it is pretty quiet, lots of vandilism and idots around here though.

I assume you are in the UK Rally205 ?

You could also try Tesco's and Direct Line - both of them are very competitive - BUT not for mods. As Brind says, for mods go to Adrian Flux.

I have just changed yesterday from Direct Line to them. Was paying £630 with DL now paying £664 with Adrian Flux and all mods listed. DL wanted £75 per 10bhp increase !

Hope this helps

I got a great deal and excellent service from The Policy Shop (http://www.policyshop-insurance.co.uk/cgi-bin/PolicyShop.storefront) - £534 + £35 optional breakdown insurance.

Thanks for the responses guys. I tried Adrian Flux and they quoted me £750. Just a tad over the top I think being 32 and never had a claim in my life.
Maybe Norwich Union can quote me happy!!!
Just got to find the right car now.

Thanks

Well I'm insured thru Norwich here in New Zealand. When I rang before I purchased my VR4 all they asked me was - Is your car going to be garaged? Yes. Is your car alarmed? If it isnt it soon will be. Who is the main driver? I said I am. I'm 31, female, no claims, and one speeding ticket 19kms over the limit INSERT INTO post VALUES (In a 1500 litre, Nissan Pulsar :o ) They said ok it will be NZ$21.95 per fortnight INSERT INTO post VALUES (7.63 UK) Which equals to $506.08 a year INSERT INTO post VALUES (182.83 UK). So I can't complain :thumb:

It's funny you should say that, as when I told my hubby he goes "you sure you told them it was a VR4!?" I was like "yes I swear I did!" And when all the appropriate paper work came through the mail the first thing I looked for was the VR4, and sure enough there it was.

It works out to be NZ$5 cheaper a fortnight than my 1.5 Nissan Pulsar. But shhhhh like I said I'm not complaining!

Pescha

P.S whats your occupation again I'll keep a eye out! LOL :thumb:
