"I also forgot to add this car is very cheap to insure as they imported it as a non turbo (the reg docs just say mitsubishi) but if you give your insurance the reg, they insure it automatically as a non turbo.

No no no no NO!

You crash, your insurance WILL NOT PAY OUT!

Sorry James, but that is just not something that you should be suggesting.

Hi and welcome to my auction. I am relisting the car due to a timewaster who did not even show to look at the car. I will list the description as honestly as possible, but please be aware that you are bidding to buy. If you wish to look at the car, then please let me know before the end of the auction, as you are bidding to buy and the car will be sold as seen.

Please be aware that I will probably ask for proof of insurance before anyone can test drive the car. I also will retract bids from '0' feedback bidders unless they contact me first at: james.zalewski@btinternet.com.

I will split the listing into good/bad points for clarity:

Good Points

*Full MOT, carried out at my local garage
*1MNTH Tax, so can be driven away
*2.0 24v V6 Twin Turbo (240bhp @ 8PSI)
*90,000km / 50,000mph
*Currently running @ 12PSI (Approx 300bhp)
*New Brakes (Same as EVO3)
*New Alternator (£300 from Mitsubishi)
*New Stainless Steel Exhaust (from cat back)
*2 New Tyres
*4x4 System (same as EVOIII)
*Cat1 Clifford Proximity Alarm
(Warning beeps when too close to the car)
*Electric Windows
*Power Assisted Steering
*Clean comfy interior (no rips or wear)
*Ultra Blue Xenon Headlight Bulbs (£40 Halfords)
*Remote Central Locking
*Climate Control Air Con
*Rear Spoiler inc Brakelight
*New Battery
*New Alpine front speakers
*Apexi boost guage

Bad Points

*Loud noise when driving, possibly a bearing or a driveshaft, seems to go away after fifty or sixty mph
*Stone chipped bumper/bumper requires touch up
*Engine a bit tappety for 20secs when cold (common prob with mitsu v6's
*Don't have alarm cert or service history
*Aircon needs regas
*Guage install needs tidying (they work fine but doesn't fit too well as its a double din slot

Please note, I will be keeping the stereo, but it does have new front speakers in, I need a quick sale this time round, so no timewasters please.

Being advertised elsewhere so I reserve the right to withdraw from sale if sold

On 08-Jul-09 at 20:12:04 BST, seller added the following information:
PLEASE NOTE: Today, I've tried to start the car and the battery is flat, its completely dead as I think the stereo drained it (which I have removed anyway) It starts with a jump, and if I rev it the battery light gets brighter. It will need to be collected on a trailer, or you will need to bring a battery, as I do not have a battery charger to charge it up (I am trying to borrow one) The alternator should be fine as it is less than two months old, and cost me over £300 direct from Mitsubishi. This comes with reciept/guarantee just in case there is a problem. Again the car will be sold as seen, but I need to get rid of it now for space. Someone will get a bargain If I manage to get it going off its own steam by borrowing a charger, I will update the listing. Thanks I also forgot to add this car is very cheap to insure as they imported it as a non turbo (the reg docs just say mitsubishi) but if you give your insurance the reg, they insure it automatically as a non turbo. I think thats all. Any Q's please ask

Hi all, just a quick update. i've got a battery charger now, so hopefully it should have a fully charged battery for collection. Hopefully it doesnt have a dodgy battery, but i have a spare, so i'll chuck that in with the auction Cheers

On 11-Jul-09 at 14:13:55 BST, seller added the following information:

Ok, getting a lot of questions now. I've charged the battery, and everything seems to be okay, the battery warning light is no longer on. As for the noise, it's hard to say what it is.. I've bought it to several mechanics now, who seem to be confused by the noise. They say that it could be a driveshaft, bearing, clutch release or thrust bearing, gbox diff.. its really hard to say. Only thing i will say is that i had a citroen which had a dodgy gearbox diff, and it leaked oil everywhere and it also whined loads. This gearbox doesn't make any whining noises and it doesn't leak any oil whatsoever, so its a confusing one. Someone said it could even be a cable tie or something rubbing somewhere.I'll leave you to draw your own conclusions, and good luck with the bidding.

What did he lie about?

4 pot brakes.

I can't say it's a lie but 300hp is likely a stretch.

Because a car passes a MOT that any noise is not really an issue.

It sold for £650. Was it anyone on here that bought it?
