I have a spare set of these after upgrading my VR4 ones to BKR7's, will the IK20's go into a 1996 1.6i Mitsubishi Colt. So far a net search hasnt told me not to and i thing the 0.8m gap is the same. Seems a waste to chuck these out with only 1000miles on them /Devil5

/thankyou

If they fit in the holes, then they should be fine. The only possible drawback I can see is that they may be a colder plug, and as such the colt may take a little longer cranking to start. If it's a problem, gap them smaller.

But Mike would have already had them gapped to 0.8 for the VR4 already.

Sounds like you had a productive day Mike./GJ

Forgot about that Roberto...in fact it was Eurospec who installed them waaaaaaay back when i first got my baby! So can safely say they are at 0.8mm gap!

No panic then.

I had in my VR4 also IK20 gapped 1.1mm and no problems at all with misfiring or other issues, done 24k miles. Just realised week ago whilst change to IK24...:annoyed:
I think Denso should reconsider their codes of plugs. You'll have no clue what gap there is till you check their web.

I would allways check the gap before fitting, no matter what the web or box they came in said.

Just as a matter of course.

Totally agree!

I bought a set of feeler gauges from Halfrauds for about £3. Perfick! /GJ

In days of yore, you were supposed to remove and gap your plugs at circa 6000mile intervals.
