So does that mean u lot missed the £900 one on Pistonheads ?

But this car has previous CVR4 history!

As for its history, has this been converted to manual, i.e. was previously an auto?

The reason I ask is that, AFAIK, all prefacelift Type-S VR-4s were autos and the plain VR-4s were all manuals.

As far as I'm aware it's always been a manual. Preivous owner said this was a very rare car? Mechanically it's never given me any problems apart from a new battery. I don't do many miles so sevicing has been minimal. The engine "taps" as most of these engines do. This seems to vary. I have always used AMSOIL but have never changed other fluids due to the fack I've only done about 15K miles in the car. If anyone want to view PM me.

Just rememebred I've got some shocks that can go with the car. They need locking rings and I never got round to sorting them out. I think they're Teins?

Oops, and I read everything twice in case I had missed it.

You'd be best parting with those separately.

Peter Thomson was after some Tein shocks.

Is it a set of four?

If the metal plate on the firewall says W5M51 then it was always a manual, and isn't actually a Type S, it is just a VR-4

Turbo_Steve

It's not a type S anyway.....no TC switch! Can't see AYC bars on dash, but that could be the photos.

All prefacelift VR4's have AYC.

You can see the bars on one of the photos.

Yep, all pfl's have AYC, and no manuals have TCL

As long as its taxed and insured you could park it outside my house....Just leave me the keys incase I need to move it out the way , take it to work, go on holidays etc...../lol

if you go halves on it with me, you can have a VR4 for a couple of hundred quid, all I ask is for the gearbox in return for my autobox
