Heya!!

Im Petrea, new member from Christchurch, New Zealand. Have recently bought myself a manual facelift VR4 galant, no photos as of yet :(
I was driving an altezza, but after driving my boyfriends VR4, there was no way I was going back! Got myself one 4 months later and here I am! Absolutely love it!! Can't believe I ever settled for anything less haha! Anyway would be wicked to get to know some more people into the VR4's and learn some more about them :D

Thankyou very much, will PM you shortly about becoming a full member. Also if anyone knows where to get a new clutch for a reasonable price (just factory replacement) let me know :P

I have a stock clutch in the garage, not sure on its condition though. It might need to be refurbished. Failing that, part master on durham usually have good deals on exedy clutches and I THINK the stock clutch is an exedy one.

Once you've got a membership card, you can get a discount at a mechanic in New Market if you don't want to do it yourself :)

That'd kinda be outweighed by the cost of getting her car from Christchurch to Auckland /pan

She is in Christchurch, so that probably doesn't help much :)

Haha, yeah thanks!! Not surprised you heard about it :P Its definatly all Adam has been hearing about from me for the past few days, but who wouldn't be excited swapping an altezza in for a VR4! :P

Would be keen to do it myself, just need an affordable clutch. Pretty frustrating that its letting go already, but it has done about 150,xxx kms so im not overly surprised!

Funny co-incidence, I was looking at getting an Altezza, having driven a standard IS200.

So I am glad you say there is no comparison, I just bought my Legnum yesterday.

Enjoy

Oh trust me Altezzas have got nothing on VR4's. I had mine for 5 months and after driving Adams I almost went and got one straight away. They are nice cars, handle well, look good, but there is no power there when you put your foot down. To be fair I did have the AS200 which is the 160hp one but I dont think the RS200 is all that much better. Why have 200hp when you could have 280 for half the price :P

Haha no worries :P
