I've been hunting around for the details about how the power is distributed between the front and back on normal driving. I'm assuming the power is changed dynamically between the front and back as required though? Or is that just a left and right power distribution?

The assumption though would be something like 60/40 or 80/20 back/front?

Any ideas?

Starts at about 50/50, ends up at around 60/40 in favour of the rear as you get up the rev range.

Here's a graph of Gowf's power split between front and rear: http://www.clubvr4.com/forum/showpost.php?p=405880&postcount=85

Starts off at 50/50, under high load moves to 40/60. The AYC system moves power from left to right at the rear of the car only

Thanks, just what I was after

My question would be: how?

Does the centre diff allow a specific amount of slip, or is it just gearing?

I have watched this with our cars on Speedtech's Dynapak dyno.... Is very interesting watching the AYC move it to each wheel even under hard acceleraltion...

Steve, here is some light reading for you: http://www.stealth316.com/2-awd3.htm :P

It explains how the torque difference comes about and, at the end, why it only applies under acceleration.

In short, it is a gearing ratio with determines it.
