Looking at some cheap ideas :P

What diameter is the factory vr4 exhaust? Would it be so much bigger than the st-r factory exhaust to warrant a change over?

Is the vr4 bumper a straight bolt on? possibly a facelift bumper like VR4WGN is selling:

are vr4 shocks/springs any different to st-r?

Bumper, shocks, springs etc will bolt straight on. I'm not sure on the exhaust.

but only the pre-facelift parts will bolt on directly. The facelift back is different...

To fit a VR-4 exhaust (will fit from cat or from mid-pipe -- [your choice], you will need to change over the vr-4 bumper first.

the exhaust is the same from cat back, (apart from the exhaust tip)

so no point in changing it, you dont need to change the bumper,
just cut the part where the tip is.

are the vr4 shocks/springs a better unit?

I'm pretty sure they are the same

Nahh they are all different part numbers. I'm fairly sure the VR-4 ones will be harder, my ST-R is a LOT softer than a VR-4.

might be a cheapy upgrade for me next time a vr-4 owner decides to get coilovers :D

An ST-R will sit really high with VR-4 springs

lighter?

Possibly aftermarket springs with the vr4 shocks?

I think VR-4 lowering springs and VR-4 shocks would probably quite good.
