Finally bit the bullet and got the beast serviced. Went to Mag and Turbo on Beach Road in Auckland city, theyve done a few bits and pieces for me so were happy to do the service as well. they used Elf stuff, has the auto box fluid changed, brake fluid changed, oil changed, new oil filter, and everything checked over. drives heaps better now. had a turbo timer fitted too, thought it might be a good idea. came to the not totally unreasonable sum of $595, and got a free lift back to work in the boss's hotted up WRX, so lifes not too bad. :-b
