Hi guys. Just after some chat over the phone with Kochajj....
He's gonna test possible cheap alternative to E-Manage Ultimate, Map2ecu and so on, which is:
Ecumaster DET II:
http://www.ecumaster.com/det2.html (unfortunatelly only in Polish)
cost: approx 490 PLN (95 - 100 GBP)
Polish description is for L4 type engine, but it is designed also to V6 engines, i.e. GTO, which know there are 2 done with DET 2.
Translated some features:
- 3 maps 8x16
- 6 correction maps 8x1
- single analog input modification
- modification of MAF signal (17Hz - 4kHz)
- boost control
- ignition timing modification
- injector full group control or single injector (low resistance) control
- full group injection timing control
- launch control
- callibration of analogue inputs
- automatic conversion from MAP to MAF signal
- datalogger
- realtime dyno (while driving on road)

Sorry, but there're possible mistakes as I translated it from Polish, so even me had problems with understanding some features.

Some dudes in Poland have one in Evo's and seems work well without issues. Also there are two GTO with DET 2.
So Kochajj is willing to test one in his VR4.
There's no harness or wiring ready for VR4 so he has to fiddle with cables.

This would indeed be highly interesting. Looking forward to the updates!

Seems interesting, not exactly sure how the spec maps up against a MAP2.

Swinks, Kochajj might as well use a decent patch harness if possible. Saves him cutting into his own VR4s loom.

Well, I think that's the plan, but he's doing also a EGT sensors on both banks and MAP separate on both turbos, so I assume it's gonna be massive rebuild.
Hope I'll see all work done end of August (we have a meet in PL) - no doubt, photo commentary is in my diary :scholar:
Whatever, it's gonna be first VR4 with Ecumaster. If everything go well (why not...??) it will be very good and cheap alternative.
Re: harness - I think I know source where it might be produced and not expensive, only if Evo's ecu pinout is similar (I guess so).

Well, after done some thinking (did I, ???), I'm very close to buy one for testing.
Maybe someone wish to play with one for tests? I'm not as I need mine VR4 on daily basis.
