LOL, my brother was obsessed with this game a couple of months ago. I think most of the appeal is in the sound effects, and the easy upgradability (if that's a word) of the defences. But it makes more sense than paying £30 for the latest Tombraider, or whatever, that rely on the same basic principles to "hook" you.
