I have recently tried to MOT this car, but it failed on emissions as theres an exhaust leak. he mentioned about installing an oxygen sensor to get it through mot.
the mechanic(who doesnt really know vr4s) said that the compression was down on cylinders 1 and 2 so went no further with the car, as he suspected ring or head damage. Yet i drove it today and it drove the same as it always did. no misfires and still had pleanty of grunt.
People have told me to break the car for parts, but i dont really have the time or knowledge.
Its totally standard inside and out and in fairly good condition.
New rad fitted.
Brand new battery.
I also have 15 litres of amsoil ATF to go with the car.
Theres a small dent in the bonnet.
Im sorry if this isnt too detailed about what exactly is wrong with the car,as i know little about mechanics and engines. Though one of our fellow members has offered to take a look at it later in the week to try and establish whats going on.... As soon as i know, Ill let you know.
Im selling the legnum with the view that its for someone else to break, or repair. What do you think??
