im trying insert some pics into an article that im writing. but for some reason the "CVR4 Uploader" will not upload the pics. i keep on getting the following error message :- Sorry, I'm not able to upload the file. Please inform the Administrator.

i have checked that the pic is within the size limits, in the correct file format (JPEG) and i have added a description. but it will not upload to the CRV4 server.

i have also followed the "CVR4 Uploader" guide with the same results.

can you tell me if there is a problem with the uploader or is the problem on my side of things. also, in the mean time, can you recommend a pic hosting site that i can use to upload my pics to. so that i can post them in my article. i have uploaded a few pics to "tinypic.com". but when i go to preview the page, the images do not show up.

works ok for me, I just click go advanced when posting, then manage attatchments, then browse em from my pc then click upload and it works fine.
Not some piece of security software on your PC stopping it?, by the way the images usually dont show on preview post only when submitted post do they show (on mine anyway)
hope this helps.

thanks for the reply Kev. but my problem is in the article section and not the general forum. i can post pics using the method you mentioned in the forum but you do not get the same option in the article section.

to upload pics in the article section, you have to use the "CVR4 Uploader" (the button is on the right hand side. it's red and looks like the eject button). you click on it and you browse for the pic you wish to upload. thats when i get the error message.

i have uploaded the pics to tinypic and added the links to the post. but when i go to preview the thread, there are no pics in the thread. hopefully when i submit the article, the pics will show up.

It works OK for me, see the test article I just created here http://www.clubvr4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=42345 using a photo that I just uploaded using the CVR4 uploader.

I suggest that you go ahead and create the article and then email the photo to me and I will see if I can upload it for you. I would rather do that than link to an external site.

I will send you my email address via PM.

There's probably a maximum size limit, but if you just send me what you've got I can resize them if necessary :)

All received :)

I have uploaded the files and here are the links.
Don't forget to put the IMG2 and /IMG2 tags around each link.

uploaded/126/1250928411.jpg > DSC00408.jpg

They all uploaded OK for me so I will take a look at your permissions and see if there is anything obviously setup wrong.

thanks for sorting it out for me spirit.

yeah that is the wrong pic. not sure where that came from. but i didn't send that to white lightning to be uploaded....must be one of his that got mixed up in some way.

i'll update the article in a bit. dinner is on the table and the wife would kill me if i let it go cold...lol

edit:
i've updated the article. but there two pics that are missing. i tried to upload them again using the uploader, buti keep on getting the same error message :(

also, is it possible to add a couple of 3gp or avi files to the article? as i recorded the before and after sounds of the horns. so that people can hear the differences between the two.
