does anyone know the price of the rear speakers in the v6 galant? they have an awsome base range i have tried many high spec brands like bose, jamo, jbl, focal and mtx. and all of them are crap.

the mitsi speakers are 15 watt ive been getting 20 to 60 watt and all of them useless.
yes they produce very good sound but bugger all base. i shake the dead out of the ground. lol

any ideas anyone?

Knowing Mitsi they'll be expensive. Have just fitted after-markets to mine and a shelf mounted sub. Does the trick nicely! If you really want the Mitsi ones then I still have the original rear ones. (saloon) Can go to a good home if required.

Your stock system is probably not producing enough power for aftermarket speakers. A low wattage spekar is what you want if you dont have an external amplifier.

Try a set of Alpine Type E speakers - they run on 35 WRMS - sounds basic. Or try to source some 4 ohm speakers from Maplins.

Yeah I noticed the standard galant speakers are bassy as hell, I was severely impressed when I checked the rating on them. I AM looking to upgrade the fronts to a nice set of JBL componants (had JBL before and been heftily impressed) which will be amped with a pre-amped box in the boot, leaving the standard ones in the 'shelf' as rear fill .

Im in the process right now of fitting some fli 6 1/2" 3 ways in my leggie they sound really good and plenty o bass, and coupled to my bass box which will be fitted later on/tomorrow ill have more bass than i know what to do with!!!. These speakers are only £29.99 from halfrauds, but if you reserve them online and then collect in store theres 20% off!!!

You need to concentrate on "Sensitivity" rather than wattage. Higher sensitivity is where your bass comes in, and a more detailed sound. Unfortunately, most aftermarket speakers sacrifice sensitivity for power handling and robustness.

If you want bass, four 1000W 12" subs are required along with a couple of half Kilowatt amps (or more.)

I have these items fitted to my old car's parcel shelf. Gotta' try to shoehorn them into my leggie soon!
I have the front passenger seat out at the moment. This is to enable the routing of loads of cables ready for my ICE.

WTF! Awesome! Honestly, all home made?

What sort of voltage does that give off?
