Catalytic Converter Storage

I know loads of you have got De-Cat pipes and when it comes to MOT that they will be exchanged back for the OE Cat pipe ... But I was wondering lf the OE cat needs to be stored in any special way .... So as not to deteriorate or get damaged ??? Can l just leave it in my Drawer in my garage or do i need to wrap it up in Cotton Wool and put it in the Airing Cupboard with a hot water bottle !!

No idea.

I just covered each end of mine with a rag and left it in the garage. Don't know if that was right or not, though!

I've left mine on the garage floor for four years, but car has passed the MOT without it in three times so can't see you have a problem.

How did it go thru MOT .. Did they not Question it was not there ... ? Or is it one of those Garages !!
