Well, no, you still need to have a galant/legnum bonnet, but just one made in the evo style.

Search trademe if you want a cf one, otherwise I know of a few good looking cf ones, but they aren't cheap.

How cheap are you looking ?

Bearing in mind, some cheap CF ones yellow due to heat and UV damage really easily.

too cheap, the problem would be justifying buying a bonnet, when there are so many other important things the car needs instead =P

word of warning on CF bonets.

make sure they are fully carbon fibre.

i was told that they are some for sale that are standard metal bonnets, coverered in one layer of carbon fibre just to get the look. but do nothing for weight saving.

I've decided to put a carbon fibre bonnet to the top of my list, would like to buy one in the next few weeks hopefully. The 2 prices I have found so far locally are $1150.00 and $995.00. Do you know of anything better priced than those?

Which ones are they ?

The ones I know of would be closer to the $1500 mark, shipped.

They are however, Very, very high grade Carbon.

beware of aNY CF bonnet guys... make sure its from a well credited seller or i GUARANTEE the clear will turn green aswell as the CF layering will almost be staggered instead of in pattern, and delamination between the cf layer and FG layer, expect to pay no cheaper than $1500 for a GOOD Quality one!!,with NZ sun its not worht owning one if the car sits in sun 70% of the daytime, itll age fast..

Goku

I'm guessing weight, though if you give them a really light coating of paint you can still see the cf underneath

Of course weight lol. Otherwise that'd be a hell of a lot to pay for a bonnet that doesn't match the car.
