i got some seats of a v6 and basically need to figure out a way of powering them up so i can adjust the driving position.

there are 3 separate sockets underneath the seats one will be for the motors, one for the heating element and one for something else.

of the three anyone have any ideas which is the power one and does anyone know if this can be powered straight off a 12v source ??

Any help much appreciated.

thanks
Birdie

The third one is almost certainly for the side air bag! Does the seat say SRS on the back cusion - usually on the outside edge?

I would have thought there would have been the appropriate socket on your wiring loom - most companies tend to put the wires in regardless of what attatchments they eventually put on the car.

Careful how you play with them!!

lol it does say SRSon the sides. ok so which on will be the motor one ??

i need to know cos i cant put in the driver side one until i know i can power up the motors to adjust the driving position.

obviously my galant doesnt have the sockets as it didnt come with electric seats as standard.
