Hi Guys,

Kieran messaged me but the reply was disabled for me (not sure why) hence my reply here :).

I was looking at these cars on ebay - they look awesome and nobody seems to want to buy them. They are going pretty cheap. I was thinking of buying a gls / glx. but now i am thinking perhaps V6. not sure. I have been told not to buy an automatic bacause there is an inherit problem with the gearbox. There is a guy in london selling a v6 with leather seats and it really looks pretty good for a £1000. decision decision.

The V6 engine is super smooth and loves to rev. It is a true gem of an engine and I'd thoroughly recommend one.

if you want a manual v6 estate then i have one here that needs a good home.

ive often thought about having a nice smart 2.5 v6 estate stock with a few tasteful mods one thats fully equipt as a support vehicle to my vr4

btw whilst this thread is current , whats the best equpped galant ?

im guessing the sport is the most basic then propbaly the classic , whats better ? the equippe or the elegance?
if i were butying a 2.5 v6 id definatley get the top spec and i'd be picky too as theres some nice ones about

dont think the missus woiuld be too happy if she saw this post lol/whip /whip

While I love PSB's Galant (facelift body, black, V6, manual) My one issue with the UK new ones are that they are all 2wd. I have a JDM ST-R wagon which has the same V6, 5 speed manual, but with 4wd and it is so much better to drive than a 2wd car!

Nope, no such thing as a JDM V6 galant.

The Legnum was marketed as a special all round car great for taking Japanese families to the snow and so on. The Galant was marketed as just a generic mid sized sedan, hence the engine options early on, only 1.8 gdi and the VR-4 motor was available for Galants, versus legnums that also had 2 different V6's (6a12 and 6A13) in addition to the 1.8 and VR-4 specs
