hi i have found either a blitz or hks boost controller but neither one has a solenoid now performance mods are new to me so will i be able to get a solenoid for either and are they generic so i can wire it to my car as the guy has an impreza? and which one is better trying to get model numbers of himatm

I've got a HKS EVC III on mine, it's a little old but works well, my only gripe is I don't think it's readout on pressure / vacuum is fully calibrated.

I'll let you have a play with it next time we see each other ;)

and the boost controller
yeah the hks one is an evc but where can i get a new solenoid

It's not usually worth the effort.

1) No solenoid usually means it was stolen out of an import on it's way into the country
2) If it's PROPER old, you can wire up just about any solenoid....as long as it has a seperate boost sensor (or doesn't use one, in which case why bother?!) The wiring in these rare cases is usually fairly simple: red wire, black wire.
3) Finding the solenoids themselves, branded, in good condition is like finding the missing mpg in a vr4. It's a lot of effort for very little reward.
