De Havilland Vampire - retired from active service in 1960, one of my favourite planes. Makes a strange almost whistling noise when in flight. The side-by-side cockpit layout is also unusual

MB 326K - manufactured under licence in South Africa where it was known as "Impala" - pictured is the Mk II. This is also the former aircraft used by Silver Falcons display team (retired in 2005)

T6 Texan or Harvard - SAAF used this as a trainer until 1995
