View Full Version : What are stock calipers and discs worth?

I'm going to upgrade my brakes, and so I will have a set of stock calipers and disc superfluous to requirements. What sort of cash are they going to be worth (if anything!)

i sold mine for £40 and gave the discs with them for free , the no good once you go bigger !:leer:

how are the brembos in comparison to the standard brakes. is there a massive difference or is it more subtle than that.

Its worth mentioning that they make an ideal upgrade for non VR4 Legnums and Galants.

the pedel feels miles better and don't get fade anymore just the squeek to get rid of now :o

ian do you have the anti squeal shims on the back of the pads?

no , but its only drivers side that squeels like a pig !! i'll see you at the meet in october you can have a go and see if they any better ! /Banana

SInce fitting my brembo's, the drivers side one is squealing but only if braking from 35mph or below. Above that there is no noise. The anti squeal shims are fitted.

Won't be just yet, as I haven't decided whether to go down the Brembo route (with new hub carriers), or "something else"
