Hi Guys,

First post and all that so go easy on me!

Recently come over from the dark side (Subaru Legacy) and fancy a fast, reliable and unusual 4 seater - what else but a VR4 :-b

Looking for a 97/98 car, pref estate and pref manual, what should i be looking for and roughly what should i be paying??

Have a very nice 92 Range Rover with a 4L TVR lump and lpg conversion, so plan is either a PX or probably sell the Rangie before making purchase.

Cheers

Welcome to the club!

You're not the only person to have a Legacy in the past and I actually quite like the latest model, so don't apologise too loudly! (starts running for cover...)

Manuals are hard to find, I don't think I've seen one for less than 7k. Estates tend to out number saloons, though so that shouldn't be a problem. Look for a bit of history. A broken cam belt is a serious headache, so make sure this has been done or budget £800 for a full main service.

Best bit of advice after that is read this (http://www.clubvr4.co.uk/resources/buyersguide.php) and come along to an event or two - it's amazing what you find out about your own car when others are looking at it!

Let us know what you get.

Nick.

Cheers Nick

I'll make sure I keep your comments in mind, i've also browsed the clubs buying and modifying guide and they've really helped.

Will keep you posted, Rangie in specialist Landie mag this month.

Good luck with selling your car... :sad3:
