Ebay supplied Windows (http://www.cracked.com/blog/using-windows-7-may-lead-to-murder/) came with floppies

Overall
In general I was highly disappointed with Windows 7. Although performance has improved since Vista, major features appear to have been lopped off the OS to meet these performance marks. Additionally, the hardware incompatibility and stability issues that have long plagued Microsoft OS releases appear to back in full force. Unless you’re one of those deviants who always has to have the latest OS, or have very specialized faxing needs, I’d strongly recommend avoiding Windows 7 until at least the first Service Pack is released.
Two stars.

Tried that multiple times - even running my own proxy from home... it's blocked.

However... I do network stuff now... so I might be able to let it through :D

Does your company also block access to LogMeIn.com?

im currently running windows seven ultimate 64bit on a amd athlon 64 X2 dual core 3600+, 1024mb ddr2 800mhz ram with only the motherboard's Nvidia G-Force 6150se graphics gpu (314mb) to deal with the graphics and im perfectly happy with it, its abit sluggish on startup but once its all running its barly any slower than Win XP, sure they removed some of the fancy stuff from vista but that stuff annoied me any way lol, the things they did keep are really usefull.

just my opnion on the os

No, but they probably block the ports that it needs... haven't tried it yet as I'm setting up a media server at home that will be on 24/7 so I will use that as a proxy/firewall for the home network.

Back on topic - I'm running 7 on my Core 2 Duo E4700, 4GB RAM, ATI Radeon 3650 - no problems with speed and Aero whatsoever :) might try it on my Intel Atom CarPC too, see how it goes.

Im running an RTM version of 64bit Win 7 Ultimate with no issues at all...

Seems to run games made for vista with no issue, and transfers files faster than Vista..

all experiences with RC versions of 7 have been good. i would actually pay for this version of windows i'll put it that way. never bothered with vista..

(but then again i had no problems with windows 3.11, 95, ME (i must be rare with that one) and xp so i guess i'm blessed in the way i build pcs, decently compatible components

I've been running Windows 7 Ultimate RC on a Samsung NC10 netbook for six months and really like it. Faster than Vista and fewer nuisance messages. Will go for the full version as soon as it's out.
