I'm thinking about getting a car radio aerial booster - a small inline booster that sits just before the aerial lead going into the back of the car stereo.
There are powered 12V ones and non-powered ones.
Has anyone any experience of such things? Here are a couple:

I've a particular radio station which is slightly out of my area that I listen to in the car. On some days, with the atmostpherics, the signal is ok-ish others it is poor - drifting. I was thinking if I spent a tenner or so getting one and self fitting it it may help?
When I listen to the same station in newer cars, the signal is far better in my area - maybe because my set it 10 years old? I would get a new one, but I love this particular stereo and set up.
