if he is a sound man and has some sort of integrity then i think the FIA will regain some credibility.

Would have been a real improvement and change with Ari at the helm, instead of the widely-predicted 'more of the same', IMO.

However, now he's in - I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and see how he gets on.

I have a lot of respect for what Jean has achieved over the years in motorsport with Peugeot and then Ferrari. I'd like to think he would do a good job at the helm of the FIA, I just hope there was a clean break in his ties with Ferrari, if not then it will become very very predictable.
It would be nice to see some sort of system in place that means they can only stand one term in office at a time, but they can stand again once their successor has finished their term, that way it might stop the stagnation we have seen, and hopefully keep the fresh ideas rolling.
