Hi guys
I bought an enclosure that makes an internal drive into and external usb drive. I didnt realise the drive I am buying was Sata, and the enclosure is IDE only. I see converters on ebay are pretty cheap, but would it likely fit in the case? I travel a lot and that drive will come with me everywhere, so I really need everything enclosed.

Should I just by a SATA enclosure?

Yes as it is all built in and far easier than messing around with an extra bit to convert from sata to ide

An additional converter probably won't fit - the enclosures are quite tight normally.

Just grab yourself a SATA enclosure (and you'll then have the IDE one too for hooking up older IDE drives to newer computers ;))
