Hello.
I'm currently searching around for a new crank pulley for my 4g63 galant 2.0 (98) but I'm struggling to find any other companies that will supply me with a new crank pulley.
Mitsubishi asked for £160 just for the part!

Also finding a Galant thats being broken for parts is quite a struggle.

If anyone has any information or recommends a supplier I'd be most grateful.

Thanks

At a guess I would expect this is the same part as the Evo?

I've had a look at the evo stuff, and I think the evo runs a slightly different belt setup as the galant pulley runs 2 belts, 1 for the alternator and 1 for the aircon and power steering.

Its annoying because a company on ebay has made a crank pulley for the galant 1.8 which has a slightly different fitment, but would drive 2 belts.

Looking like the only option is from the US

Ah, in that case you need an EARLY evo Crank Pulley :)

Bet you can find it cheaper.

It should also be similar to certain models of Proton.

Thank you for the links, I've just checked them and I noticed that the pulley doesn't have the correct number of grooves for the belt.
On the Alternator belt on the original it has 4 ribs, on the power steering belt, it has 5.

Which has ruined my plan of using an underdrive pulley from America made for the Eagle Talon/Mitsi Eclipse, as it would fit, but unfortunately doesn't have the correct ribs for each belt.

Starting to wonder if it would be easier trying to either get an ali one made up from an engineers drawing, or to try and change the pulley on the alternator to 1 that would allow me to use a 4 ribbed belt.

I'm also considering welding the inner to the outer to stop it from being able to move/wobble, but thinking of the balancing issue.
