Gauging interest and what you think its worth at the mo.

Well I have owned the Galant for nearly 4 years now, and owned a Legnum for 2 years before that, so I am thinking its about time to try something new...

1997 Galant VR-4 Manual
167000km
Sunroof
Ralliart centre dash facia
New RE001 tires all round
New Front pads and rotors and rear pads last week
Cambelt and water pump replaced approx 20000km ago
Exedy Sports tuff clutch fitted approx 30000km ago
Steering rack reco'd at the same time.
Input shaft bearing replaced about 25000km ago.
New battery a couple weeks ago

Lowerd with King springs
F/L wheels
Alpine head unit. Kenwood amp (cant remember the specs at the mo) and pioneer 6x9's.
Turbosmart boost tee
3 inch exhaust from the down pipes with no cat
K&N panel filter
Boost gauge.
VTA BOV (do have std one aswell)

Dynoed at 185kw ATW at 15.6 psi.

Serviced every 5000km on the dot with quality oils
All work been done by myself (im a qualified mechanic) and with the help of some of the other member around here.

Just got back from getting a WOF at VTNZ which it flew through.

For those who know the car, what do you think its worth?

If anyone is interested PM me.

Pics to come shortly.

Come next pay cheque and if its still on trademe it might become mine ;) Haha. Would it be much of an issue if it stayed at your place a few days after I bought it till I could fly up to get it?

Would buy something in chch, but its nicer knowing that the car is owned by someone whom cared for it.

Just a quick question, how long till I'd need to replace the plugs? I've read this can be a bit of a mission :D

It is minor at best! Takes maybe 1.5 hours.

For someone who's done it before maybe. For your first attempt it might take longer depending on how mechanically minded you are and if you don't make any f**k ups along the way (like putting everything back together and then realising you've jammed the throttle cable under the intake manifold).

But the point is that it isn't a reason to not buy a car!

Nobody said it was :) He/she simply asked a question about when they'd need replacing.

i have just replied to your question on trade me - i have been away sorry!

the plugs and rocker cover gaskets were done at around 120k. the rear bank has platnium plugs in it.

Cheers, Just emailed you.

Also to bradc - it wasn't really a decider its just something I was curious about. Would prefer to fork out the money to someone on this forum whom I know will have treated the car nicely!
